Sebaceous Glands

Sebaceous Glands are oil glands located in the pilosebaceous follicle unit (skin pores). These glands are responsible for keeping the skin moist. When there is an acne condition present, these glands are over stimulated, or improperly stimulated, usually resulting in over-secretion of a stickyier more harmful oil that causes the production of comedones and other forms of acne.
